I wouldn't say Volvo drivers are better than BMW drivers, but I would say they are less aggressive. As bad as that soccer mom might be, she's less likely to get into a high speed crash as a young single male who is more likely to buy a BMW. Volvo's safety supremacy is more of a perception than a reality today. My choices for crashing a car would be Mercedes, BMW, Volvo/SAAB (tie).
