Engine Noise after going thru flooded street V70-XC70

I have a 2000 V70XC and over the weekend, I was forced to go thru a street flooded with about 6" of water. Right after, 2 things happened - 1) a hard right turn resulted in a grinding/thumbping noise and 2) the car is making a noise similar to the sound of a playing card attached to the spokes of a bike wheel when it just drives straight. Problem 1 was resolved by my mechanic replacing my left ball joint that apparently was worn and got knocked around from the deep water. Problem 2 still exists. Any ideas? Could a belt or something have gotten loose and is there anything I can try to look at before bringing it back into the shop? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
