Sure, if you're patient. I recently replaced the clutch in my SAAB 9000. The Volvo has considerably more room to work around the unit. However, the Volvo does not have the hinged subframe the SAAB has, so there is a lot more disassembly involved. I made an engine holding beam from a couple 2X4s bolted together, worked with the car on a lift and lowered the transmission with a shop crane. It is definitely more involved than rear wheel drive cars. The factory manual is very detailed and highly recommended for this job.
