1998 s70... speedometer out. S70

the speedometer went out on my s70 today. I am positive it is the speed sensor itself.. it does not have the same symtems as the v70 i have with a bad abs mod... the trip meter and the odometer are not working either... the numbers are still there, they just don't ascend.. any suggestions.. I already took it to the shop, i cant risk getting speeding tickets over this..
