Best all-around tire for an 850? 850 1995

I was going to say the same thing.

Two sets of tires does cost more in the initial lay out, but really doesn't cost more once you start to look at the long term ie: the whole life of the tire.

You'll end up using two sets of tires (one summer, one winter) in about the same amount of time it would take to wear out two sets of all seasons.

You'll get 2-3 winters out of the snow tires and at least 2-3 summers on summer tires.

And if you're really stuck you can wear winters that are no longer fit for snow due to tread wear in the summer. :) They'll wear fast and be loud, but it can get you out of a jam!

Also, when you get that call that says your wife/son/whatever has been in an accident you will wish you shelled out for the proper tire for the proper application.

You don't wear sandals when you play hockey... and you don't wear skates to the beach...

Buy tires that match your climate and usage/needs. All ~4000lbs of your car rides on less than 2 square feet of rubber, and it's truly amazing this system works as well as it does.
