Drive Shaft potential issue V70-XC70 2000

A lot of people have removed the prop shaft. This eliminates the stress on the bevel gear, improves MPG, and will not cause the case to "drop". Removal will introduce torque steer which was handled by the AWD, but that is a minor inconvienence compared to the better accelleration on dry pavement.

Do not throw the prop shaft away, you want to put it back on when you sell the car, or at least have it available to the new owner. I doubt there is anything wrong with the shaft, just the angle gear/transfer case.
