Re: Top of Dash squeeks, how to fix? Is there a write-up on how to remove dash?>> 850 1996

The entire top dash pad is held in with 25mm torx screws, no real torque specs, and removing and tightening the screws does not normally help. When the weather changes from hot to cold is normally when the squeeks and such really start to show up. Removing the top dash pad and placing felt tape in strategic places will help. Volvo also makes an "anti-squeel" glue that looks like elmers glue but dries with a rubber like film, put in the correct places also helps with the plastic on plastic squeeking.
