Shudder when braking hard 850 1997

I *think* I have a problem with my brakes. I was doing a 0-60 run once and when braking, I felt a shudder from the rear end. I could feel the back end shudder violently. One of my friends said that it was brake fade (whatever that means...) and was normal since I brake-torqued when doing the 0-60 run. The heat supposedly builds up so much when I brake-torqued so that caused the vibrations. Well I didn't think anything about it until today when I accelerated to about 50 mph when the light turned green. Well I had to come to a stop then I felt the same shudders/vibrations as mentioned earlier. Is this something I should be worried about? It doesn't happen all the time, only when I accelerate hard, then come to a complete stop. TIA.
