New Rear Shocks - Leaky! / New A/C Evaporator 850 r - 97

I got new replacement rear shocks for my 850R. Part # 009173851. Took them out of the box and noticed that there is oil on the housing. I was able to compress the shock absorbers easily and heard a "squooshy" sound - much like when a hydraulic system is leaky.

Could they be defective shocks?

Also, I noticed that the shocks have the names SACH and BOGE on them. Any ideas?

Regards,

P.S. - I have also gotten the evaporator + dryer replaced. The dealer added an additional cabin filter. Full cost about US$800. (Please take note that this is in Singapore).
