Oil Filter Selection, Mahle or Mann V70-XC70 2004

Hello All,

My brother in law and sister in law have a 2002 V-70 and a 2004 XC-70 and get their oil changed by any Tom Dick or Harry. My sister in law complains that the car always leaks oil. Of course that's because Tom or Dick, or Harry can't be bothered to install a crush washer on the oil drain plug. I'd do it myself but they live 200 miles away.

Anyway, I told them I'd order a tray of oil filters and some crush washers they could have installed by Tom at their regular oil changes. However, I note that FCP sells Mahle's while Eeuroparts sells Manns for about $20 cheaper. Can I go with the Mann's. I realize they aren't the same filter as for the 240's and the Mahle's are indicated as OEM.

Thanks,

Marty Wolfson
