rear window defroster problems 850 1993

Hi..

I noticed the other day that my rear defroster has stopped working. The side mirrors still defrost and the fuses are all intact. This car has the defroster with the many little, barely noticeable wires inside the glass, that, when on slightly bulr the glass.

I am wondering if this is a simple case of a ground that has come loose or a loose wire otherwise to the window itself. Before I go tearing things apart I am looking to see if anyone has come across this problem and if so, where I might start looking. The manual I have lists nothing about the rear defroster...leaving me somewhat clueless as to where to look.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as the cold weather is here and ice on the windows in the AM has once again begun :(
