I can't find much info on alarm systems in the archives. Can anyone venture an opinion on the following situation? After having a windshield installed at my Volvo dealer my factory alarm no longer works. When I got the car home I noticed the alarm's LED indicator unit on the dash board was newly "afloat". It has a small ding in it and one of the prongs that lock it in place is broken. Is it possible that a damaged LED unit will render the system in-operable? I have alerted the dealer and will be seeing him tomorrow afternoon. Any up front guidance will be appreciated.
