buying advise V70-XC70

If you live in the snowbelt, and AWD is the only way to go. But then you are talking 2004+

I also prefer the 1998 V70. Just like the 960, the vinyl door wraps/panels are a piece of junk.

If you still want a good RWD, make sure it has the 4 cyl and not the overheating prone 6 cyl.

None of us like the new electronic age, where a computer is used to control the instrument panel (why??). The generic scanners just don't do all of the unique systems in a Volvo.

The 2002+ V70 doesn't have as much storage room in the rear as the 245/945, but there are a bunch of air bags, traction control, and gobs of safety stuff. And the LP turbo makes for seamless power with pretty good mpg (premium gas).
