Saying goodbye to the 850 (sort of) 850 1996

Hey Klaus,

The car is currently in storage at my parents' house in VT. It's currently on blocks now and under its warm, cozy cover. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but it has only seen one winter, and that was when I was using it as a daily driver about 4 years ago. It is not a Turbo, just a regular base sedan (not GLT). I had no desire to get a Turbo when I was looking for a replacement for my wrecked '93 850.

The transmission was flushed and replaced with new fluid at 73k miles (June '06).

The spark plugs, cap and rotor were all changed shortly before I acquired the car, at 59k miles (October '03).

Tires are close to five years old. I also have a set of studded snows that Dad currently uses for his S70. And speaking of which, Dad did check the car thoroughly a few days ago (which he often does), and he knows that it is the rear main seal that is leaking. He'll be ditching that plastic screen, no doubt.
