starting problems S80 2000

I have 2000 S80 with 107K. and have starting problem.
Key is turned to second position, all the lights are ON but at third position nothing, no click from the starter or info on the message board.
I checked and cleaned connectors on battery (two weeks old) and starter, moved shifter forward to make sure it is in park position and still nothig. When I attempt to start several times I will get it stated but I am afraid to drive and get stuck. Today I try again and key turned 360 deg in the ignition.
Spare key is giving me the same problem.I red posts about immobolizer and locking and unlocking door 5 times, but it does not work.
Should I look into electrical or mechanical problem with the ignition?
Is it difficult to replace any of those parts?
Plese give me some suggestions.
