Noise reduction? S70 1999

Finally, due to domestic "encouragement", got a set of hearing aids installed to compensate for what used to be known in the military world as "artillery ears". Turns out that better high-freq hearing ain't necessarily an unmitigated improvement; my lovely quiet Vovo now sounds like a buckboard pushed down the creekbed by a tornado. Lots of wind noise, in addition to the obvious need to throw out everything in the trunk and glove box, and fill both with turfted titmouse feathers. Also high-freq range crackle when the heater / ac blower is on, even when the radio is off.
All suggestions or pointers / links to methods for reducing any of the noise will be appreciated, especially the wind noise.
On the brighter side, now I can really enjoy the stereo upgrade I put in about 6 years ago. damn! those guys in that little box all play a lot of notes I haven't heard in 40 years.
