Fan Blower... Climate Control Unit S70 1998

$50 is nice and cheap. The way to get the ECC out is to pull the radio first, then reach behind the ECC and give it a good yank forward. It slides right out.
Pull the unit now and make sure the plugs in the back are solid. You can balance the radio on the shift lever with out unplugging it, and slide it back in as soon as the ECC is out.

The recirc button not working is a good clue to the Unit failure, along with the temp dials not working. Interesting that the blower started with the AC on only. Are you sure they didn't drag this car out of the river?

Make sure you get and ECC and not a MCC. The ECC has a variable blower switch, the MCC has speed numbers for the blower.

I like your new hood!
