Fan Blower... Climate Control Unit S70 1998

Tidewater's remark has merit. The cabin temp sensor is in the dash switch row, the last one on the right with a small grill on the botom. It does not push out like the other switches.

To remove the sensor, the ECC has to come out. Then you can reach behind the sensor. It is a longish plastic tube with 2 plastic locking plastic pins at the front, 6 and 12 o'clock. Press the small tabs and pull towards the front of the car to remove.
I have always used a toothpick to clean out the lint and dirt on the small fan blades. Be careful with the tiny sensor on the front end, once bent it will be broken.
