Fan Blower... Climate Control Unit S70 1998

If you remove the Cabin Temp Sensor and clean it, test it before you reinstall it. Just install the power plug, turn on the ignition, and verify that the fan rotates. If it rotates, put it back in the hole. If it does not, replacement is necessary.

Removal can be tricky, as you cannot see what you are doing; it is all by feel. It helps to know what the sensor looks like, especially where the release tabs are located and how they will feel to your fingers as you depress them.

A good image can be seen here:

The Volvo p/n is 3524841. If you need to buy one and want to avoid the dealer, just Google "Volvo 3524841", and a number of vendors will appear.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
