Rear Window S70 1999

Yes, the power for the rear switch does go through the front one. If you've ever had kids in the back messing with the windows, you'll have noticed they can override your switch when they try to roll down the back windows and you want them up.

You say it feels like something is broken inside the door switch. You can pull out the door switch pretty easily on the drivers door and short the wires for the broken switch one way or another - +12V or -12V to change the direction of the window motor and get it up for now, assuming it's not jammed.
