Rear Door Speakers S70 1998

Hi,

I was talking to my dealership's ACCESSORIES department, regarding a pair of rear door speakers for my 1998 Volvo S70. Because I have the SC-813 receiver, I only have 6 speakers, so I am thinking about installing the extra pair of speaker in the rear door to make it a 8-speaker sound system.

They want me $ 262.33 Cdn, before taxes for a pair of 40 watts coaxial 6.5 inch. This is JUST for the part itself only. I am planning to install it my self.

So, my question to you are:

1) Are there any other speakers out there better than these speakers for

around the same price ? Of course, they have to meet the factory 6

speakers.

2) If I do purchase this pair of speakers from Volvo, is it easy to

install it myself ?

3) Also, my friend suggested that I installed some sound damping product

on all of the 4 door and around the rear speakers in the trunk. Did

anyone of you installed these material, when you were upgrading your

sound system ? If so, is it worth it ?

Thanks in advance !
