Braking question V70-XC70 1999

It wouldn't hurt to do a bleed/flush of the brake system if it has never been done to your car before. Theoretically, this is supposed to be done every 4 years or so. With time, water builds up in the brake system and can cause a delayed braking reaction. I noticed the rear brakes on my old Honda would freeze up if it got really cold out. The slightest pressure on the pedal would cause the right to lock up and send the car into a fishtail. The old brake fluid was outright jet black when I drained it.
