WORKS!! (Kinda Confused Though) C70 1998

After failing to set the car for drive cycle a second time, I opted to look into a couple lower priority issues.

The blower fan has been one of the most annoying, and now weird issues.

I removed the lower knee bolster and was able to clearly see the power plug for the blower. While I was trying to free the plug, I managed to bend the plug receiving portion of the fan "up" and bit and the fan immediately roared to life.

But only when the plug is bent down. I tried a few things. I pulled the fan. removed the plastic housing and tried to find the trouble zone on the plug.

It is pretty thoroughly encased and I couldn't get down to the issue w/o tearing the thing open.

So I gave up. I slide a number of slivers of a broken plastic spray can cap under the plug receiver until it was quite snug. This kept the fan functional during all my subsequent tests. I'm not quite sure why the failed in this way.

I reinstalled the fan, bolster and knee pad and Luckily, the blower *still* works - and I still don't know where the infamous resistor pack/power stage is located.

I know this is a short term solution, but it will work until I beat one of the parts rapists who have been systematically removing every single volvo fan blower motor from the junkyard cars and listing it for sale on eBay. Jerks.
