Thanks! C70 1998

Klaus,
I'm feeling a bit lucky that you are still snowed in and able to offer your advice and knowledge.

This site has a code listing for the 850s: http://www.volvo850.ru/OBDIIkod.htm

Unfortunately, I did not get the code written down - the AZ guy said there was only one code and I did not get it committed to memory before he had to move on to the next guy. The replacement cap was nearly identical to my original, so I

also have my doubts that was the issue.

I'll check into the area you mentioned tomorrow AM.

I looked into some code readers earlier today. Seems like I can snag a cheapo from eBay for around $40-50.

I'm still unclear if the CEL indicates that the ODB system is now set - or if it is separate from the "set" status. I am hoping it does mean the system is set. Just one code from the CEL can be handled.

If there's a lot more coming...
