Error Code P0442, Picked up a Code Reader. C70 1998

I figured it was worth the investment, I headed to the nearest Harbor Freight and dropped $85.00 on a Cen-Tech OBD2/EOBD code reader. It also comes with some software, a USB-Serial Port cable and a ODB2-Serial Port cable.

In the parking lot, I hooked up up to my OBDII port and pulled the following information from the car.

-------
P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak).
-------

I erased the code (and the Check Engine Light). It did not reappear during my return trip.

Although I couldn't kill the "Service" reminder light, I was able to determine that emissions system *still* hasn't been fully set. I get an "INC" or "Not Ready" for several emissions systems. Looks like I need to find an abandoned stretch of road and complete the prescribed drive cycle.

It is a nice feeling knowing that I can read the codes on the fly.
