Knock Sensor 850

posted by  someone claiming to be fixit 2002 on  Wed Mar 3 03:08 CST 2010 [RELATED]

I'm getting a engine code 143 which is a missing front knock sensor signal. Do the knock sensors on the 850's retard the timing like they do for the turbo 740's and if so would the missing knock sensor signal permanently retard the timing? Engine starts and runs fine but has little power.
