Re: Light out in radio S70 98

I have the same problem! With mine, and it's the same model as yours, the right side

works fine but the whole left side of mine is lights out! (yet the 1-2-3 are OK). So I

went to dealer since my car is under Volvo's used car certified program warranty

and he said no dice. I thought all he had to do was go inside the radio and replace a

bulb, but he says his people won't touch the inside of the radio because they could

mess everything up. What jerks! He's offering to swap for $163.00. But the problem

with that is I don't know how much use the "new" used radio has on it. I've decided

for now to wait until ALL the lights go out because then I have a big problem worth

worrying about. However, there is a very fancy car audio place right near me and I

was going to stop in one day. Maybe if I gave one of the technicians $20.00 off the

books he'd go in and put in a new light for me since I'm sure these guys know

EVERYTHINg about these radios. I'll let you know!

PLEASE keep me informed if you get it fixed, OK?
