Re: Sure... S70 1998

Dear uncle Olaf,

I was searching for info on the fog light installation for my S70

and purchased after-market lites. I also got the Volvo dash switch,

my question is about the relay. I have a bosch relay with the same pin-outs

as described in my volvo wiring manual but modified it to be diode protected as in the print and I removed the normally closed contact and soldered it inside to the N.O. so that "87" and "87a" are both normally open. my relay won't pick. does the "hot" wire exist in the relay base?

my diagram shows the hot side of the relay base comes from ⎮/13(3)USA/CAN] a violet wire from ΐ/1:3A] this particular trace is a dotted line in my book. Please, any info will be greatly appreciated.

Signed; so close but yet so far Phil
