Electrical problem 850 1995

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my 1994 850 Turbo. Every once in a while it does something very strange. When I turn off the car, the hazard lights start flashing (the hazard light switch is NOT on). They flash for about one minute, then go off. When I try to start it again, it's completely dead (no sound whatsoever when I turn the key). After about 10 minutes have elapsed, it starts. I had the battery cables and battery replaced about a year ago and it didn't do it again until last week. Then it went completely dead and wouldn't start at all. The dealer says I need a new battery. I think some electrical problem has ruined my new battery. Has anyone encountered anything like this?

Thanks
