Power seat problem 850 1995

Common problem. The cable gets loose and no longer turns the sprocket. There are 3 or 4 hog rings at the bottom of the seat back, cut them and pull them off. You can use plastic zip ties to put the seat back together, they last forever.

The cover for the side of the seat comes off by pulling up on the front and then pulling it forward?

You can cut 1/4 inch off the cable sheathing and reinserting it back in the motor and other end, depending which end has the slipping problem.

On my 1995, I just cut the hog clips, and reached in to find the cable and pushed it back down on both sides, worked for 2 years more until I sold it.
