PCV advice 850 1996

Klaus, would there be a way to keep most of the oil from leaking out? On the way out here I lost about 3/4 quart of oil, and most (if not all, the car usually burns about half a quart every 7k miles) would have come through the cap. Most of that then went through the 3rd cylinder, and I'm a bit concerned about that being terrible for the plug/wire/cylinder. I was thinking that if I vented it it would lose less (since I'm guessing a lot of splashing happens on the cap, but not so much through the air line).

This AutoRX appears to clean throughout the oil life, but how soon do you think I'll notice something? When I put it in and go on my trip should the PCV clear by then? It says that for engines over 100k (as i sit at 220) two treatments are necessary. Therefore am I looking at ten thousand miles or so before I know if this will work, or if I need to change the system?
