Cleaning Intercooler & Lines S70

Hello,

The air intake lines/tubes between my turbo and throttle body are beginning to seep oil everywhere. So I am trying to clean all the intercooler lines on my ’00 S70 GLT. I have everything cleaned (inside and out) except for two items, the intercooler itself and the hard plastic tube that connects to the throttle body.

Two questions:
1. Is there a way to clean the oil residue out the intercooler, at least the worst of it? Over the years, the oil has collected and just pools on the top of the intercooler fins. Maybe this is normal, but it is beginning to make quite a mess. When I removed the lower hose from the intercooler, the oil just ran; probably a good ounce anyway.

2. How do you get to and remove the plastic tube that connects to the throttle body? The oil is even weeping from the connection between this tube and throttle body.

I suspect I should have done this years ago before it got this messy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich
