Both are good suggestions, the resistor/power pack is not cheap and a new fan motor is also up there. Make sure you get the correct resistor, or, fix yours if you can solder. Search the board, someone knows how to replace the capacitor and Radio Shack sells them.

Running the fan on high will burn out the brushes on the motor.

Did you ever install a cabin air filter? FCPGroton has the filter holder and filter. Keeps the dirt out of your system, but you will need to replace the filter annually.
