Update on XC odomter malfunction

Hi,
Just spoke with my wife after she took the car into dealership. Diagnosis is that the odometer non-function is related to ABS module failure which happened two weeks ago. "Brake failure :stop safely" came up on screen. Called dealer at time & was told that brakes will work fine but no ABS function.
Next question: local dealer wants just about $1600 plus $300 for labor=$2 grand with tax. I called WaltripVolvo(Thanks, Klaus)& their quote is $837 so with the CDN dollar almost at parity it would seem to make sense to order from them.
Do you see any problems/issues with taking this route? All the electronic issues withis car are severely impacting the bank account. LOve the XC otherwise.
