time for a timing bellt and more? 850 1997

It's time for some maintenance on my '97 850R. I bought the car wiht 75k miles and now has 185k. All highway miles. I've never put on a Timing belt or hardly anything else for that matter. I got to thinking the other day I've got to get this done. I have a couple questions for all of you. I'm wondering if i should change the idler pulley. And also the water pump while everything is apart. The car has never needed a pump. While I'm at it I'm going to change the serpentine belt and probably all the coolant hoses as they have never been replaced either. Is it a good idea to change this stuff even though it may not be bad at the moment? IS there anything else i should consider doing while I'm at it? Am I going to need any special tools? Is there a good site with info on changing the belt? Thanks for the responses.
