Radio S70

Seems like it that time again-when a couple of little things create challenges with my S70. First the PS Reservior and now my own fault. I put a new battery in Monday and when I reentered the radio code I put the wrong one in too many times (I have two Volvo's and used the other code). The radio now says "OFF" and according to the manual I should turn the radio on, put the key in position one and wait 2 hours and then reenter the code. I did this and it didn't work. The radio still says "OFF".\

I searched this site and found only one entry which said to just wait 24 or so hours and it will reset it self so the code can be entered.

Is this correct or how do I clear this so I can reenter the code.

Thanks
