How about a 240 Wagon for the Wife? 850 93

OK, here's my delema. I just purchased a 93 850 for myself and now my wife wants a volvo. We don't have a lot of money to spend, maybe $10K, and that combined with her not wanting the same model has me thinking about a 240 Wagon, maybe a 91-93 Turbo. Does anyone here own or has owned a 240 Wagon and can tell me how they compare to the 850? My wife is a slow driver, this car doesn't have to handle like a sports car. Does the 240 feel really old compared to the 850? Will she be disappointed in a 240 after driving my 850?
