Re: Totally Confused V70-XC70 1999

I wouldn't take too much of the overall negativety about V70s as being a car to be avoided. '98 V70s were generally more problematic than '99s, '00s because it was the first year of that body style/interior and most of the seemingly minor "issues" IMHO with '98s were fixed under warranty.

If you're condsidering a '99, it's been less troublesome in general from what we see here.

I'd personally opt for 2WD over AWD however unless you absolutely need AWD in your area. Our winter roads are rarely so bad that my 2 RWD cars even need snow tires.
