Looking to upgrade to a v70 AWD R... 850 1995

Do you guys have any pointers, tips or other info for me? What are the significant things that the R adds over the V70 T5 AWD? I have a Turbo 850 and love the power. Does the AWD R have the option of a manual 5-sp transmission or is it just an auto? I want power with great handling for the tight mountain roads. Any comments on towing boats??
