Darn! I am glad you are OK and that is why I dislike driving in NYC. There are probably no traffic cameras to prove you were in the right, or wrong.

The B pillar is probably compromised, which is a nasty thing to get right again. Same for the A pillar. Replacement doors and driver's side seats are easy to find, even in the correct color.

Time to look around for another car. Check the Connecticut and PA listings for the best prices in your area. I found this one a few years ago: http://www.bargainnews.com/
