Since it doesn't sound like you're willing to go with 2 sets of more

specialized tires, what you're looking for may be a morph between these

two more optimal seasonal tires:

excellent optimized optimal seasonal performance tires: nearly-new Winter tires and well-worn Summer tires

The MXMs let out-perform all-season tires in the summer and the 210As out-perform all-season tires in the winter, snow in summer and hot winter

days to the contrary. If I ever need to use a curb as an emergency braking

aid on an icy street, my alloys are safe at home...
