850 CD player has strange message. 850

E-01 or whatever happens with mine probably once a month (I change discs probably once a day). What I've found is that it means the CD changer is attempting to put the disc and doesn't get it right. Almost like a jam... I find that pulling out the cartridge and putting it back is all it needs..

Maybe I need a new changer or maybe just a new cartridge, but i'm too cheap for a few seconds of my time...
