New ETM, New MAF Sensor - V70 Idles Rough, Dies, Bogs Down at 4k RPM and above

This is a follow-up of my work to fix to my V70 R. With the help of many but especially - Klaus, I was able to deduct the driveability problems with my car.

After doing much work on the car with installation a new ETM, MAF sensor that was needed and wondering why the car would not run and the code scan said it turned out to be a problem with the secondary fuel circuit - (code fault # at home today), I finally realized what the problem was. While working through what that really meant, I went back to the basics.

My problem was due to the loose connection of the Intercooler Hose that attaches by a strong clamp on the throat of the ETM/Throttle Body.

This hose attaches from underneath, is hard to get to unless you have the hands of a 90lb. "super model" = I DO NOT - so my advice to all is to make sure you check the squareness of this hose to the ETM thoat when attached to alleviate any air intake leaks and other. I thought mine was tight - it was not and after talking with Klaus a bit about this, reinstalled the IC hose, tightened the clamp and all is well. Without a good seal from the IC to the ETM, the computer will read the incorrect air taken in and it will not run correctly.

Just a lesson learned but as always, this experience took me back to the basics of making sure you check the health and proper fitting of all connections. Somehow it seems that each year I am reminded of this when working on one of my vehicles - LOL. :)

Will keep the Board posted on the op of the car.

Many Thanks!
