oil smoke after PCV replacement 850 1997

my 850 turbo started making smoke again. Previously I had this problem, then replaced the PCV system with the iPD kit. Old PCV seemed to have no blockages (I blew through all parts that came off, and inspected openings in the engine where separator box came off) but put the new parts on anyway. I found 2 vacuum lines broken at the turbo, while I was down in that area replacing PCV hoses/fittings. SO also replaced the vacuum lines. the car ran great, and did not leak oil any more and did not make any smoke (this smoke is from the exh manifold area, when the engine gets hot sitting in traffic). Took the car on a road trip recently, 500 miles or so, and now there's oil all over the rear of the engine and turbo, and it smokes/smells when sitting in traffic. When I get home, the smoke curls out for a minute or so. underneath I can see this little burned area near the exh manifold. attached are a couple pictures. I had looked at the cam seals before changing PCV, they seemed to not have any leaks, but the engine has around 120k miles on it. I use mobil-1 and Mann filters.
Has anyone seen anything like this? I'm about ready to replace the cam seals just because...but the burned looking area doesn't seem related.

I guess pictures aren't attached, I'm not sure how that gets done, I don't have a picture site on the web anywhere.
