"Low Battery Voltage' on message center V70-XC70 2002

the above came on last night on the way home. This morning she was dead. Jumped it was reading like a little over 12 volts... Ran it for about an hour with fan and lights on and then tried to restart.. NG... My instict told me it was the alternator, but since the battery was original, I thought perhaps it might be a shorted or dead cell, hence why on around 12 volt and why it didn't charge...
Well I was wrong, new battery same error code and car running off battery... Well at this point I'll keep the battery as I'm not sure how much more then 8+ years I'd get out of it... These Volvo Battery's are Amazing and competative...

Now I checked both FCP & IPD, no alternators for the 2002 XC70...
Anyone have a suggestion where to get one?

Thanks
