Car didn't start until I locked and unlocked doors S70 1999

My wife went out to the car and remotely unlocked the doors. She couldn't remember the steps she took (push, pause, push, push, pause, push or something like that). Anyway, the car won't start (turned over just fine, just wouldn't catch). Solution (at least the car started) was to relock the doors and unlock the driver's door and the car started without hesitation. Can I assume this "not starting" was caused by the security system or is something else happening?
