replace engine or car? 850 1996

I have a '96 855T with 234,000+ miles. It's burning at least a quart of oil per 1500 to 2000 miles. I'm toying with the idea of replacing the the engine with a rebuilt. About how much would it cost to do that? Do folks do rebuilt engines or should I be thinking replacement car at this point? Is it worth it?

Thanks in advance!
