Fuel Pump Problems 850 1996

Hello All!
It seems that the ol'96 850glt has finally let go of the fuel pump, at least thats what the mechanic seems to think, my question is what brand of pump would be best to replace it with, the prices I've ran across vary wildly from under $100 to almost $500 just for the part, even Bosch's vary wildly,What I'm getting at is which way would the more seasoned and learned go? The car has unknown miles on it (est.175-190k) and I do plan to keep her around for another year or two at least, but with two mortgages,3 kids, 1-ex, and one paycheck, I need to be careful with funds- any recommendations or brand suggestions? Thanks everyone!
