Gas gauge problem 850 1993

Hello again lads. My gas gauge has been acting screwy for the last month or two, now it's stuck just under the 6 gallon mark. It goes down all the way with the key off. For a while, the gauge would read correctly after adding gas, but would intermittently fall down to the current 6 gal. position after engine shutdowns. Commuting without my gas gauge is going to be unnerving.

Any ideas? Thanks.
