After washing down the engine, it will not start. Help! S70 1998

I am glad to hear it is running again. Many times people wash the engine with too much water and fill up the sparkplug holes, grounding them out so that it will not start.

Wet fuses? Hair dryer is good. Pulling out and drying off the fuses is also a good idea.

AC not working after washing is a problem. Because it worked great before the wash, you will need to check the fuses for the AC. BTW, if your climate control is in auto mode, do you get blinking lights when you start the engine?

I would wait a couple of hot days before I brought it in to an AC shop. The chain store fixits will probably be worse for the car, eventhough they are cheap. Besides, the heat will probably dry the engine some more.

Best air circulation is driver's window down and right rear window down.
